When you're promised to the heir of a neighboring kingdom, whose patience with your family threatens to snap at any moment, you are thrust into a new world just as foreign as the one you were born in.

• The Betrothed, Aleksandar/Aleksandra. (Gender Selectable. She/Her. He/Him.) - They are the heir to the throne of Ce Cerine. You’ve been betrothed to them for a few years now, and though they are fully ready to marry you… The sight of your face fills them with a burning rage. Though their feelings are wrapped up tight inside of them, perhaps you could earn their respect.

• The Pirate Captain, Rhys/Rhea. (Gender Selectable. She/Her. He/Him.) - A pirate and a thief. They are in it for the money and the fun—what else is there? They may be the brightest smile in any room, but there’s a darkness deep down inside of them. Will they let you close enough, for long enough, to see what they refuse to show anyone else? 

• The Shadow, Calixta/Calix. (Gender Selectable. She/Her. He/Him.) -Quiet. Aloof. Illegitimate. They learned at a young age to be content with what they had. They learned at a young age… that they would never be the same as the heir to the throne, Aleksander/Aleksandra. So how could you come into their life and give them hope for something they can only dream about?

• The Tutor, Mestra/Mestrn. (Gender Selectable. She/Her. He/Him.) - Your tutor… tasked with making you fit to help lead Ce Cerine one day. They are always ready with a welcoming smile, but there’s always a wall. They will do anything for you… But they will never allow themself to want. There will always be a distance that they are too hurt to cross.
